On June 25, a group of employees from the Hartford Courant held a benefit golf tournament in memory of one of our own – the late William Calhoun. Bill passed away suddenly in February leaving his wife Jessica and four young children: Liam, Caelyn, Alana and Rian. It was a beautiful day out at the Traditions Golf Course in Windsor and the tournament was a sell out. Thanks to everyone who came out to support Bill’s family.

Pictured here are The Courant’s Kathy Enders, Camille Stinton and Angela Phillips-Arrington.

Bill’s lovely wife Jessica and daughter Rian are seen here with Courant Credit Manager Janet Pose.

On June 17, Courant Deputy Editorial Page Editor Tom Condon gave the commencement speech to the Grace S. Webb School at the Hartford Arts and Science Magnet School auditorium. He spoke to the group about challenges and opportunities as well as making sound life choices.

On June 23rd, FOX CT Reporter Jim Altman had the pleasure of interviewing ESPN’s Chris Berman and PGA Golf Pro Brad Faxon at the Travelers Championship held out at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

“His faith, something he shares with Angie, gave him something his long drive couldn’t — the ability to drop his envy.” -- From Courant Sports Writer Jeff Jacobs’ June 28 column titled, “Watson Triumphs On A Day That Had It All.”
