On Dec. 12, FOX CT had its first live broadcast from the new high-definition, state-of-the-art studio in the newsroom of The Hartford Courant. The production crew, lead by managing director Tom Anischik and facilities project coordinator Cheryl Nicholas, worked hours leading up to the first broadcast to pack up the studio, move it out of its former location and move in to Broad Street. Now, the newspaper, TV station and website are all under one roof working to bring our readers, viewers and online users more, faster and better coverage. Included in this issue of “gab” are photos from the station’s move, first broadcast and grand opening celebration. Enjoy!
