On June 13, Hartford Hospital held its Cancer Center’s 20th Annual Celebration of Life for patients, friends and families. Recently, I awarded a grant to the Bridge Family Center’s Family Resource Center in West Hartford on behalf of the Children’s Holiday Campaign.



On June 7 and 8, FOX CT Morning News anchor Logan Byrnes hosted the dinner at the 9th Annual Business for Downtown Hartford Golf Classic and the 6th Annual Greater Hartford Realtors Association Charity Golf Tournament. He played in the touranments too.



The Hartford Courant’s exceptional journalism was recently honored with 15 awards from the Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. The newspaper took home the top two awards, The Theodore Driscoll Investigative Award and The Stephen Collins Public Service Award, for “Hidden Mistakes”, a report by Matthew Kauffman and David Altimari. Bill Leukhardt, Helen Ubinas, Rick Green, Alaine Griffin, Tom Condon and alumnus Jodie Modzer, as well as freelancers Kevin Rennie and David Holahan, also won awards.
